Professor Desjardins (1823–1908) was a French wizard and Professor of Care of Magical Creatures at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic during the 19th century. During that time he lived at Le Mollusque Nocturne, where he became famous for delighting his guests with his collection of extremely rare Streelers. After he died, the hotel renamed itself in his honour.[2]
