- ""Dilly the Dragon Learns to Fly"? Is this a children's book, Charlie?"
- — Jacob's sibling[src]
Dilly the Dragon Learns to Fly was a dragon-themed children's story.[1]
History[]
When, sometime during the 1989–1990 school year, Gringotts Wizarding Bank received intelligence suggesting Urgruff the Unwary's legendary solid gold dragon egg was being kept by a 'mother dragon' at the Dragon Sanctuary in Romania, they tasked one of their Curse-Breakers, Bill Weasley, with retrieving it. Bill met his brother Charlie and one of his classmates at the Hog's Head Inn to read more on dragons before journeying to Romania; among the many books brought by Charlie was Dilly the Dragon Learns to Fly.[1]
