History[]
- "A few years later, she had turned up at Christmas with a computerised robot for Dudley and a box of dog biscuits for Harry."
- — Marjorie Dursley's Christmas gifts[src]
One Christmas in the 1980s, Marjorie Dursley gave Harry Potter a box of dog biscuits, in contrast to how she gave her nephew Dudley a computerised robot.[2]
On 31 July 1991, when Rubeus Hagrid took Harry Potter to Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley, he took out some mouldy dog-biscuits from his moleskin overcoat pockets while rummaging to find Harry's vault key. The goblin serving him wrinkled his nose in response before he found the key.[3]
Top Dog Biscuits was a brand of dog biscuits which, according to the box, bit the dog back. Rubeus Hagrid had a box of these he fed to his dog Fang.[1]
