This letter was written by Doris Purkiss to Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge at some point after the former saw Sirius Black's picture in the Daily Prophet. She stated her belief that Sirius was actually Stubby Boardman, lead singer of The Hobgoblins, and presented the alibi of him engaging in a candlelit dinner with her on the night he supposed committed his infamous mass murder. Though she fully expected the Minister to trust her and offer Sirius/Stubby a full pardon, no such thing happened, and it is indeed unknown if the Minister ever received her letter at all.[1]
