The Double-ended newt is a magical beast consisting of two newts sharing the same body. They tend to swim around a lot and prefer to eat algae.[1] Double-ended newts are often kept as pets by wizards and witches, and can be purchased from the Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley.[1][2]
