Dragon dung fertiliser is a potion used to help Venomous Tentaculas and other magical plants grow. Its main ingredient is Dragon dung, the potion's namesake.
History
During the first Herbology class in the 1986–1987 school year, Professor Pomona Sprout revealed to Jacob's sibling that she had spent her summer conducting several experiments on the composition of dragon dung fertiliser.[2]
In 1997, Horace Slughorn asked Harry Potter to brew some in order to collect the highly valuable leaves of a Venomous Tentacula.[1] The fertiliser is also noted to be Professor Pomona Sprout's preferred type.
Mathilda Grimblehawk's partner used dragon-dung fertiliser to restore a sapling Wiggentree brought from the forest by Don Harrison.[3]
