Dreadful Denizens of the Deep was a book about magical creatures that lived in water.[1]
History[]
On 23 February 1995, it was one of the books that Harry, Ron, and Hermione examined while preparing for the second task of the Triwizard Tournament. Harry examined this book in the Gryffindor common room the evening before the second task, but dismissed it as it did not contain any information that could help a wizard survive underwater for an extended period of time.[1]
At some point between the 2008–2009 and 2010–2011 school year, a copy of Dreadful Denizens of the Deep floated on the surface of the Great Lake, near the area where the kelpie in the lake lived.[2]
