The Drought Charm (incantation unknown) was a charm used to dry up small bodies of water, such as puddles and ponds. It was not powerful enough to work on larger bodies of water, such as lakes.[1]
History
During the 1989–1990 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Filius Flitwick taught his sixth-years how to cast this particular charm in Charms class.[2]
Ron Weasley found this charm while helping his friend Harry Potter look for a way to get through the Second Task of the 1994 Triwizard Tournament, but decided against using it, as it would be ineffective against the Black Lake.[1]
