The Drowsiness Draught was a potion whose fumes could be used to induce drowsiness, tiredness and fatigue in the drinker. The potion produced a light pinkish-purple steam.[1]
History[]
During the 1989–1990 school year, Penny Haywood and Jacob's sibling attempted to Untransfigure Merula Snyde in Flobberworm form back to human form with the aid of this potion, but failed and turned her into a Puffskein instead.[2]
A small bottle of this potion could be found on a table in the Gryffindor common room, and the smoke from the potion caused Hermione Granger to fall asleep while reading her book, at some point in the early 1990s.[1]
