Eagle owls are a species of owl.[1]
An eagle owl was a possible corporeal form of the Patronus Charm.[2]
History[]
Wizards were known to keep this species as pets; the Malfoy family owned one[3][4][1] and they could be bought at Eeylops Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley in London.[5] Eagle owl feathers had magical healing properties and are used in Potion-making.[5]
One eagle owl was found by Liz Tuttle, who took care of the owl along with Chiara Lobosca in the Forbidden Forest in the 1989–1990 school year.[6]
