The Eastern Front was a theatre of the First World War which, at its greatest extent, stretched from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south, and included much of Eastern Europe and parts of Central Europe.[1]
The British Ministry of Magic ran a covert operation to wrangle Ukrainian Ironbellies on the Eastern Front.[2][3][4] Newt Scamander was involved in this programme.[2][3][4] However, it was ultimately cancelled, as the dragons only responded to Newt, and tried to eat everyone else.[3][4]
