Eddie Thistlewood was a Scottish shopkeeper living in the hamlet of Brocburrow in the 1890s. He was friends with Bernard Ndiaye.[1]
Biography[]
Eddie Thistlewood was the great-nephew of Minister for Magic Eldritch Diggory. He later dedicated himself to the growing of plants.[1]
In 1890 or 1891, during Ranrok's goblin rebellion, Eddie sent two crates of Chinese Chomping Cabbage to his friend Bernard Ndiaye to help the hamlet of Feldcroft to fight the goblins. The crates were intercepted before they could arrive in Feldcroft, and Eddie enlisted the help the new fifth-year Hogwarts student to find them and deliver them to his friend.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Eddie was voiced by Scottish actor Enn Reitel in Hogwarts Legacy.[2]
- There is a contradiction in whether Eddie attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry or not. If the player asks Bernard Ndiaye how he and Eddie met, he mentions they met at Hogwarts and have been friends and business associates since then, but when talking to Eddie after completing the quest, he claims he never attended Hogwarts.[3] Despite possibly lacking an education, Eddie appears to still be quite eloquent and well-read, as shown by his understanding of velocity and complex train-related terminology in his letter to Helen Thistlewood.[4]
