Egbert the Egregious was once Master of the Elder Wand after killing Emeric the Evil on a ferocious duel. What became of Egbert after mastering the Elder Wand is unknown, but as the life expectancy of medieval duellers was generally short, it is likely that he was murdered shortly after. A century later, Godelot is recorded to have obtained mastership of the wand. [1]
