History[]
On 18 June 1996, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood flew close to the building on Thestrals after being lured to the British Ministry of Magic headquarters by Lord Voldemort to rescue Sirius Black, who was allegedly being held captive and tortured.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- The building appears in the film version of the Order of the Phoenix as part of the Canary Wharf complex. It is unknown if the building is a part of the complex in 1996 in the books; if it were, this would suggests that the Canary Wharf complex was built earlier in the wizarding world than the real world.
