- — Description[src]
The Eradication Spell[2][3] (Deletrius) is a charm that can disintegrate certain objects[2] and serves as the counter-charm to the Reverse Spell, vanishing the shadow emitted from the wand.[1]
History
During the 1988–1989 school year, this spell was taught to fifth years by Professor Filius Flitwick in Charms class.[2]
On the 25 August, 1994 after the 422nd Quidditch World Cup, after the reappearance of the Dark Mark cast by Bartemius Crouch Junior using Harry Potter's wand, Amos Diggory used this spell to eradicate the ghostly and frightening image of the Dark Mark in the sky.[1]
