- — Description[src]
The Eradication Spell[2][3] (Deletrius) was a charm that could disintegrate certain objects[2] and served as the counter-charm to the Reverse Spell, vanishing the shadow emitted from the wand.[1]
History
During the 1988–1989 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Filius Flitwick taught his fifth-years how to cast this particular charm in Charms class.[2]
On the 25 August, 1994 after the 422nd Quidditch World Cup, after the reappearance of the Dark Mark cast by Bartemius Crouch Junior using Harry Potter's wand, Amos Diggory used this spell to eradicate the ghostly and frightening image of the Dark Mark in the sky.[1]
