The Eradication Spell[2] (Deletrius) is a charm that can disintegrate objects[3] and also serves as a counter-charm to the Reverse Spell, vanishing the shadow emitted from the wand.[1]

History

Some time between 1988 and 1989, Jacob's sibling learnt to use this spell to disintegrate objects in Charms class.[3]

On the 25 August, 1994 after the Quidditch World Cup, during the Reappearance of the Dark Mark Amos Diggory used this spell to erase the ghost image of the Dark Mark he had caused to be emitted from Harry Potter's wand.
