Erica Mabuchi (Japanese: 馬ま渕ぶち英え里り何か, formerly professionally known as 馬渕英俚可,^[2] Hepburn: Mabuchi Erika) is a Japanese actress. She, alongside Yuri Shirahane, portrays Ginny Potter in the Tokyo Akasaka ACT Theater production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.^[3] From 13 August to 24 August 2022, she took a break from the performance due to her health condition.^[4]

Behind the scenes[]

Mabuchi read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child when she auditioned for the role, but only started reading the Harry Potter series from the start of 2022. She finished reading 7 out of the 11 volumes (the Japanese editions are split differently) by 22 January^[5] and finished on 3 February, sharing that she cried while reading the second half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.^[6]
