- Delphini: "Wizards used to believe that the Augurey's cry foretold death. When I was growing up, my guardian kept one in a cage."
- Scorpius Malfoy: "Your... guardian?"
- Delphini: "She used to say it was crying because it could see I was going to come to a sticky end. She didn't like me much. Euphemia Rowle... she only took me in for the gold."
- — Delphini[src]
This Augurey was kept in a cage by Euphemia Rowle during the years that she raised Delphini.[1]
Biography[]
Rowle always said that the creature kept crying because it could see Delphini was going to come to a "sticky end".[1] In reality, an Augurey's cry signalled incoming rain.[2]
In 2020, Delphi told Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy on the roof nearby the Owlery of Hogwarts Castle that she tattooed Rowle's Augurey behind her neck to remind her that "the future is hers to make".[1]
