An everlasting icicle was an icicle that never melted, which was used as a magical Christmas decoration.
History[]
In December 1994, they were hung on the bannisters at Hogwarts.[1] In 1995, they were presumably used to decorate the St Mungo's reception area for Christmas.[2]
