Exploding Cauldrons are used to explode objects.
History
In 1994 they were used by Bartemius Crouch Junior whilst training the Trio on Hogwarts exterior, which could be used to destroy walls.[1] In 1996 they were placed around Hogwarts by Fred and George Weasley.[2]
