This explosion occurred in Northumberland during the 1990–1991 school year.[1]
History[]
It was caused by a wizard accidentally dropping an Erumpent horn. The witches and wizards there protected the nearby Muggles.[1]
Jacob's sibling investigated this case with the British Ministry of Magic as a part of their student programme. They interviewed both the wizard witness and the Muggle witness, and helped a clerk from the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee come up with a Muggle-worthy excuse.[1]
