This entrance hall was located in the Faculty Tower of Hogwarts Castle. It contained a spiral staircase that went down to the Musical Corridor as well as up to a gallery which overlooked the rest of the room. Although the main part of the entrance hall was a gathering spot for students, the hall also contained a pair of locked double doors which were only accessible by prefects and professors, behind which was a more private section containing the apartments of Hogwarts staff.[1]
History[]
In the 1890–1891 school year, the Hogwarts caretaker, Gladwin Moon, asked an unidentified 19th-century Hogwarts student to sneak inside the private area to retrieve some Demiguise Moons, as he was too afraid of the objects to do it himself.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This room first appears in Hogwarts Legacy.
- In Hogwarts Legacy, the upper gallery contains the Fat Lady's Corridor, but this is not canonically possible as this is located on the seventh floor in the books, a higher source of canon.
