Fay Dunbar (born c. 1980[1]) was a student who began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1991[1] and was Sorted into Gryffindor House.
In her sixth year, she took N.E.W.T. Potions, as she wished to become an Auror. Shortly before the Christmas holidays that year, Harry Potter went looking for a hairdryer to give to Arthur Weasley, a collector of Muggle artifacts, so Fay told him that she thought one of the girls in her dormitory owned one. Harry then went to speak with Hermione Granger, his Muggle-born friend, but it turned out that the hairdryer belonged to another one of Fay and Hermione's dormmates.
