Flamel was the surname of a European family who may have been French. The only known members were Nicolas Flamel and his wife Perenelle.
It is not known whether the family were a wizarding family. One of the couple, or both, may have been muggle-born. Nicolas was a very famous alchemist who created the Philosopher's Stone.

- Perenelle Flamel (c. 1334 - between 1992 and 1996) - Nicolas' wife who also attended Beauxbatons.[1]
