The Flipendo Challenge was an obstacle course housed in a room located on the third floor of Hogwarts Castle, near a Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. As the name suggests, the course was meant for practising the Knockback Jinx, Flipendo. The course contained a large number of objects that could be moved around, knocked over, or otherwise interacted with using Flipendo. The room also contained eight Challenge Stars. The course also had a living room infested by gnomes.[1]
During the 1991–1992 school year, Quirinus Quirrell tasked Harry Potter, and presumably other students, to collect all eight of the Challenge Stars within the Flipendo Challenge, a task Harry completed successfully. He was awarded twenty house points for his achievement.[1]
