Fluxweed Syrup was a kind of fluid that allowed the drinker to temporarily assume the form of another individual, similar to the Polyjuice Potion.
History[]
During the 2008–2009 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Ivy Warrington took some Fluxweed Syrup to turn into Daniel Page for a bet.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- As the Polyjuice Potion also requires Fluxweed to brew, it is possible that the effective ingredient in Polyjuice Potion that gives the drinker the ability to transform is exactly Fluxweed Syrup. The known difference between the two seems to be that the Fluxweed Syrup can't change the drinker's voice (which the Polyjuice Potion is able to change), since Ivy's own voice is played when she speaks in Daniel's form.
