The Fontaine de Trèfle-Picques, also Fontaine de la Rue Malabête or just simply Fontaine Malabête, was a fountain at the end of Rue Malabête, a street in Place Cachée. It was inaugurated in 1840 in memory of Vincent Duc de Trefle-Picques. A Grindylow lived in the fountain, and would sometimes squirt water at passers by.[1]
Description[]
Fontaine de Trèfle-Picques was a two-tiered white-stoned fountain featuring a grey statue of Vincent Duc de Trefle-Picques on top, wearing a cloak, pointing his wand upward and holding his falsely decapitated head thanks to the Concealment Charm.[1]
On the arch above the fountain were carved the words Peracta Magica (The magic is done) and the date MDCCCXL (1840).[1]
The witch and runologist, Marthe Écolière, deciphered runes at a stall located by this fountain.[2]
