Forums: Index > The Wizengamot > Date Month
This wiki strictly follows the British spelling of words ('honour', 'practise', 'dreamt') due to the origin of the series and its author; however, as of now, we use the American system when it comes to dates. For example, it says Harry Potter was born on July 31. For the site to be consistent, the correct date should be displayed as 31 July, no? 24.49.35.99 00:37, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

- Yes, typically in British English, the date is expressed as dd/mm/yyyy, which would mean that the birthdates should be expressed as 31st July 1980. - Cavalier One
