I'd like to use this forum to discuss something that's been bothering me for sometime. Basically I think we should remove the "family information" field from the infoboxes, for the reasons below.
Along time ago we instituted a policy designed to restrict which relatives would be listed in the infoboxes. This policy is shamelessly ignored on a daily basis, and goes completely uninforced.
It has become common practice to take two individuals with the same last name and automatically assume that they are related, adding them to each others infoboxes. This has to stop. Now!
The basic layout guide for individual's articles should include a relationship section. Therfore listing the information twice is redundent.
I strongly feel that removing this redundent field is the best course of action for improving the quality of the infoboxes, and discouraging speculation. Thoughts? Jayce •Avada Kedavra•Crucio•Imperio• 09:42, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
