Hey everyone,

We're going to be launching a new Fandom email newsletter test soon. The question we're testing is: are fandom-focused newsletters more appealing to Fandom users, as opposed to broad emails about many fandoms? The content would be about breaking news and interesting stories from Fandom.com, all of which link back to wiki content.

We're going to start this test with Star Wars and Harry Potter, and it will be sent to accounts that have made an edit on the Wookieepedia and Harry Potter wikis and Discussions within the last year.

We anticipate this test starting around March or April, or earlier if there's big breaking news. For example, the first Star Wars newsletter could be about major Star Wars news or the first trailer for The Last Jedi, while Harry Potter could be about breaking news for Fantastic Beasts 2.

We'll hammer out the content once we get closer to sending the newsletter, but I wanted to give you a heads up here in case anyone asks about it once the newsletter goes out. Let me know if you have any questions! - Brandon Rhea@fandom(talk) 20:21, February 16, 2017 (UTC)
