Ok, there has been a small editing battle over changing Invisibility Cloak (Deathly Hallow) to Cloak of Invisibility. Which one should it be?
Personally, I think that Cloak of Invisibility should not be used, as it can also refer to a regular invisibility cloak.--Matoro183 (Talk) 22:18, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Actually, the "Cloak of Invisibility" is a formal title for the Deathly Hallow. I think the "Cloak of Invisibility" is quite distinguishable from "Invisibility Cloak." I honestly think we should use the title given in the book itself, the Cloak of Invisibility. We can keep the regular article about normal Invisibility Cloaks separated under "Invisibility Cloak." That way there really is no confusion about the normal thing and the Deathly Hallow. I think it would look much more formal if we use the proper title though. That's just me. I agree as well, it should be the Cloak of Invisibility, because that's how it appears in the book. The true title of Harry's Invisibility Cloak is the "Cloak of Invisibility" spoken of in the legend of the Deathly Hallows, so I do believe we should be using the Cloak's true title. - I was thinking along the lines of "Death's own Cloak of Invisibility" could be said as "Death's own Invisibility Cloak" and mean the same thing, and that any Invisibility cloak coould be known as a Cloak of Invisibility, because that's what they are: a cloak used to make the user invisible.--Matoro183 (Talk) 00:26, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, the formal title of the Cloak, like the titles of the other two objects, was the "Cloak of Invisibility" as described by Xenophilious Lovegood. That's the title we should be using. "Death's own Invisibility Cloak" was a special one, not like the common Invisiblity Cloaks seen in everyday use. It had special powers added to it, as well as a formal title given to it by legend and learned wizards such as Xenophilious Lovegood and Albus Dumbledore. The proper title is indeed the Cloak of Invisibility. "It was only when he had attained a great age that the younger brother finally took off the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son."
