I was wondering if J. K. Rowling should have two articles one for the real JKR [J. K. Rowling (real)] and another one for her in-universe self. This, because she is mentioned in canon (The chapter Introduction of The Tales of Beedle the Bard (real) is canon, according to the wiki, so she is too [seen that it is signed by her]). So, what do you think? -- Seth Cooper Moon (Owl Post) 18:10, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think JKR should be in-universe. Although she does make comments in The Tales of Beedle the Bard (real) it seems to me as though she is merely "reporting" on something that's in-universe, rather than being in the universe herself. What makes her so much different from an actor (who is out of universe) that is a fan of the Harry Potter series or who makes comments about it? Margiechocoholic 03:18, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Bumping this forum. I also take this opportunity to add some more information: J.K. Rowling is credited in a canon tier to be the author of Wizards' Book. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:52, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
As much I think Rowling is OOU, Id have to say there should be seperate articles for her OOU and In-Universe selves. Though, the In universe would only have the Tales of Beedle the Bard comments and the Wizards Book, as there is no evidence anything else she has done in the real world is supposed to be taken as In world too. Also, does being on her site make the book inworld, or is it possible it is supposed to be taken as an out of universe book? -- Ratneer Owl Me! 00:56, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
The book is canon and in-universe, as it was invented by Rowling and featured on a valid canon tier. Also, I agree on you when you say that the in-universe Rowling would only be credited with the authoring of "Wizards' Book" the most recent edition of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard". --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 01:02, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
Why wouldn't she be in-universe? If it weren't for her then there wouldn't be any Harry Potter anything. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 01:04, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
