I've started to work on a few other Wikis recently. In the Artemis Fowl Wiki, for each character, they have a Quotes section, which lists a series of quotes from that character. I thought it'd be a good idea to try this out here, too. It's a little disorganized there, but there are many more active, diligent users here, so I think we can work this out. What do you think? On Harry Potter Wiki, thematic quotes are generally featured at the beginning of article sections, like epigraphs in a book. Selected quotes should be funny, insightful, or moving, but most importantly, should tie in with each section's theme, giving a quick overview of what is to come. For example, on Fleur Delacour, the "Physical appearance" section features the following quote from Ron: "I'm telling you, that's not a normal girl! They don't make them like that at Hogwarts!" I think I would prefer to maintain this current practice than to switch to having a single "Quotes" section in each article. ★ Starstuff ^{(Owl me!)} 08:49, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I agreee with you that the quotes on the beginning of each section should stay there. But that wasn't exactly what I meant; I'd like to leave the quotes where they are, and just add an additional quotes section in the end. After all, if we only have quotes at the beginning of sections, there aren't very many quote in an article, and there are many wonderful quotes available from the books. It's true that the books are full of great quotes. I'm just a bit unsure about adding a separate section for quotes to articles. Many articles are already on the long side, and I think quote sections could draw a lot of superfluous additions, like "Behind the scenes" sections do. If we went ahead with quotes sections, though, I think we should set a limit on the maximum number of quotes they can include, and perhaps decide which quotes get included by community vote, as is done with the Quote of the Week. ★ Starstuff ^{(Owl me!)} 08:20, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I think that's a great idea. I just liked the idea of having a quotes section because it would enable us to add more great quotes into articles. I agree with ShirleyA i don't think it's neessary if you thibk a quote's good enough to be put on an article submit it for quote of the week--Miniwally^{(Owl me!)} 09:23, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
