- "He then climbed out of the portrait hole, up through the silent castle (held up only briefly by Peeves, who tried to overturn a large vase on him halfway along the fourth-floor corridor), finally arriving at the Owlery, which was situated at the top of West Tower."
- — Narrative[src]
The fourth-floor corridor was a passage located on the fourth-floor of Hogwarts Castle, accessible through the Study Area.[1] The corridor allowed access to a balcony[3] and, to travel between the West Tower and Gryffindor Tower, one must use this corridor. While Harry Potter made one such journey, Peeves delayed him by attempting to overturn a large vase on him halfway along the corridor.[4]
