- "He picked up his walking stick, which was propped against the wall, and set off into the night."
- — Description[src]
Frank Bryce used a walking stick to relieve the pressure from his bad leg, injured in the Second World War.[1]
History[]
On the night of 20 August, 1994, Frank Bryce took his walking stick with him, to check the Riddle House for trespassing boys from the village (interlopers who turned out to be Lord Voldemort and Peter Pettigrew, with the former later killing him that night). When Frank beheld Voldemort's hideous rudimentary form, he was so shocked and horrified that he let go of his walking stick, which fell to the floor with a loud clatter, joining it a second later when Voldemort used the Killing Curse to murder Frank.[1]
Roughly a year later after his death, during the Duel in Little Hangleton, Frank Bryce's echo carried his old walking stick, leaning on it as he observed the battle between the two.[2]
