Gellert Grindelwald's acolytes were a devoted group of followers comprising the inner-circle members of the army gathered by the Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald.[1]
History
In 1927, they accompanied Grindelwald to Paris to assist with his plans in recruiting Credence Barebone. They killed the unknown couple and their small child in order to take over their apartment as a temporary headquarters. When Grindelwald, during a rally in the Lestrange family Mausoleum, conjured a circle of protective fire around himself, and added an enchantment designed to test the loyalty of his followers: those who entered with complete fidelity and believed in his cause would survive; those who did not, would be engulfed and perish. Krafft, Nagel, MacDuff, Carrow, Abernathy, Vinda Rosier, Credence Barebone, Queenie Goldstein and several Aurors who had initially been under the command of Theseus Scamander passed through unharmed, but Krall, who had had second thoughts, died in fire.[2]
