In 1932, the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald campaigned for the position of Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards - the highest office in the wizarding world. He was opposed in this ambition by Liu Tao and Vicência Santos, who also aspired to the title.[1]
