Whilst as a Ravenclaw student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sometime between 1975 and 1982, the wizard Gilderoy Lockhart invented this spell to shoot a glowing holographic image of his own face into the sky, similar to that of the Dark Mark. The creation of this spell simply highlighted Lockhart's excessive narcissism and self-interest, particular in relation to his physical appearance.
Behind the scenes
- It is unknown if this spell allows for anyone to propel an image of their face into the sky, or if this spell was specifically designed by Lockhart to only work for himself, which is possible, given his notorious vanity.
- Despite not being a Dark charm, this spell is possibly related to Morsmordre, the curse used to send the Dark Mark into the sky.
