A gold cauldron was a cauldron made from gold, a precious, soft metal.[1] Many of these could be found around the Hogwarts Castle. A simple Knockback Jinx could knock them over.[3][4]
History[]

A Gold Cauldron at Hogwarts Castle
On his first visit to Diagon Alley, Harry Potter wanted to purchase a gold cauldron, but Rubeus Hagrid disallowed it, since his supply list specified pewter.[1]
Fine Enchanting Cauldrons sold Gold Cauldrons (Standard Size 1 and 5).[2]
A gold cauldron was the grand prize of the Wizarding Schools Potions Championship.[5]

- In both LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, Polyjuice Potion can only be brewed in a gold cauldron.
