- Jacob's sibling: "Thank you for sharing your story, Badger. It sounds like the Lucky Snitch was not so lucky for you... As it sealed your defeat at the 1927 Quidditch Cup."
- Badger: "It was a heartbreaking loss. My Quidditch career never recovered after that, and neither did I."

The Golden Snitch of Hogsmeade was the name given to the Golden Snitch used in the 1927 Quidditch Cup.[1]
History[]
Badger Picklish III failed to catch this snitch for his team in the 1927 Quidditch Cup, which cost him his career in Quidditch. After losing the match, he hid the snitch in Hogsmeade, where it became known as the "Golden Snitch of Hogsmeade".[1]
During the 1987–1988 school year at Hogwarts, Murphy McNully showed Jacob's sibling, one of their Quidditch teammmates and Badger Picklish III's ghost the Golden Snitch of Hogsmeade on the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch. However, Murphy's kneazle Kneil jumped up on him and swallowed it, causing him to fly around erratically due to the Snitch being inside him. Jacob's sibling caught Kneil on the Training Grounds, and with the help of Orion Amari and Skye Parkin, they caught him in mid-air, with Kneil coughing up the Snitch afterwards.[2]
