The Great Poacher Raid of 1878 was an event that took place in 1878, during which the largest poaching ring in eastern Wales was single-handedly taken out by Dinah Hecat. As a trophy of the event, she took a skeleton of a Hebridean Black, which hung from the ceiling of her classroom.[1]
