A green onion (also called a scallion or spring onion) is an onion harvested while still immature.[2][1]
History[]
During the 1992–1993 school year when the Chamber of Secrets opened a second time, a black market trade within the students flourished for protective talismans and amulets. Neville Longbottom, who feared his then poor skills in magic was comparable to that of a squib, bought an "evil-smelling" green onion from the hidden trade.[3]
The Gurdyroot, a magical plant, was described as looking like a green onion.[4]
