The Growth Charm (incantation unknown) was a charm that increased the physical size of the target.[1] Its incantation was similar to that of the Colour Change Charm.[1][2]
History[]
At the start of the first fifth-year Charms class during the 1890–1891 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Abraham Ronen asked his students about the difference between the incantations of the Colour Change and Growth Charms, something the students were not able to answer.[2]
During his Charms O.W.L. in June of 1996, Harry Potter confused this spell's incantation for that of the Colour Change Charm. Thus, his rat swelled to the size of a badger instead of turning orange as he was supposed to have done to it.[1]
