This spell (incantation unknown)[1] conjured green, transparent Gytrashes through green bolts of light. Given that this spell conjured particularly powerful and malevolent spirits, with the intention of them attacking another individual, it very much appeared to be a form of dark magic.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the console versions of the Philosopher's Stone video game, Quirinus Quirrell uses this spell against Harry Potter in the Underground Chambers. Whilst playing this level in the game, after Harry (the player) has vanquished his first Gytrash with the Wand-Lighting Charm, Quirrell will temporarily remove the magical circular barrier protecting him around the Mirror of Erised to cast this spell to summon more beasts. Quirrell can then be disarmed with the Knockback Jinx to prevent him from summoning any more Gytrashes.
