This birthday, like all others with the Dursley family, was not exciting or enjoyable, since the mean-spirited and miserly Dursleys gave him very lacklustre presents: a pair of Vernon Dursley's old socks and a coat-hanger. Harry recalled this birthday on the 30 July 1991, while somewhat looking forward to his eleventh birthday that would occur the next day, whilst he and the Dursleys were about to travel to the Hut-on-the-Rock.[1]
