A haunted mirror was presumably a type of magical mirror "haunted" by some sort of spirit.[1] The spirit (who might be a ghost) was presumably of some use to the owner of the mirror,[2] possibly in much the same way as a talking mirror.
History[]
Janus Galloglass, a mirror-maker in Diagon Alley, sold haunted mirrors among other products, a fact which he advertised outside his shop.[1]
