This Puffskein was owned by the Haywood family.[1][2]
History[]
The Haywood family obtained it sometime before the 1986–1987 school year. Penny Haywood once tried to teach it to roll over in place of a dog when she told Jacob's sibling they could not keep a Crup.[1]
During the 1988 summer holidays, Beatrice Haywood hand-stitched a toy Puffskein for Jacob's sibling from its hair, having shaven it every Sunday and collected its clippings to make the gift. Her sister Penny was upset over this as she wished to use its hair in potions instead. Beatrice gifted Jacob's sibling the toy Puffskein on 1 September 1988 during the Start-of-Term Feast in the Great Hall, which they were very thankful for.[2]
