Hector Weasley (b. 1872–1879)[1] was a pure-blood wizard and a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 19th century.[3]
Biography[]
He was a Gryffindor student and became a member of the Crossed Wands duelling club in the 1890–1891 school year.[3]
He was most likely related to Matilda Weasley, the Deputy Headmistress and Professor of Transfiguration at the time, as well as another Gryffindor student, Garreth Weasley. He was possibly one of Matilda Weasley's nephews.[4]
Etymology[]
"Hector" is based from the Greek name "Hektor", who was a legendary Trojan champion. It may also come from Sir Ector, foster father of King Arthur, fitting in with the Weasley family's habit of naming their children in relation to the Arthurian mythos.

- Hector only appeared in a preview of Hogwarts Legacy by the YouTuber XpectoGO (see this video). He did not appear in the final game, and his character as a member of the Crossed Wands duelling club appeared to have been replaced by Hector Jenkins, while his presence as a Weasley was replaced by Garreth Weasley. The canonicity of his character is therefore questionable.
- However, as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has hundreds of unidentified Gryffindor students within Hogwarts Legacy, it is always possible that he exists within an in-universe perspective, as his existence was not specifically denied by the game's developers.
