A hedgehog is a spiny mammal whose body is covered in many sharp protective spikes.[1] A hedgehog was one possible corporeal form of the Patronus Charm.[2]
Knarls[]
The Knarl greatly resembled a hedgehog; behaviourally the only difference between the two was that a hedgehog would happily accept a gift of milk, whereas a Knarl would believe it to be an attempt to lure it into a trap.[3]
History[]
Thaddeus Thurkell, a wizard, once had seven children who turned out to be Squibs. In anger, Thaddeus turned them all into hedgehogs out of pure disgust.[4] Kevin Farrell had his Patronus assume this form.[5]
